Content in Ground

by Emilie Dybevik

In a field among fresh sin
Heads of tulips sway in wind,
My fingers brushed them softly,
The scent does stop me, but leaves
As sweet berries in the green,
With tip toes, I couldn't reach,
Poison, clean, bitter, foul
My palate failed to find out,
Still, blooms stay content in ground
